As with each of the GMC driver-assist technologies, the Lane Change Alert works by using multiple cameras and sensors to detect obstacles within the vicinity of the vehicle. When another car is located in the GMC Acadia's blind spot, a symbol appears on the side mirror to indicate its presence. An extra warning flashes if the driver turns on the turn signal to draw attention to the potential collision. 

This tool is perfect for everyday use, as it helps guide the driver into tight parking spaces by using sensors to detect obstacles. It will even issue a sound to warn the driver of obstacles in the way.

The standard Rear Vision Camera is another handy tool when driving in reverse. Its clear image of what's behind the GMC Acadia helps aid drivers when reversing out of or into parking spaces.
